    Clean Eating Cooked Cabbage

Cooked cabbage is an excellent side dish and vegetable for a clean eating program. Cooked cabbage has a lightly sweet, delicate flavor and makes a good substitute for noodles or pasta when you are eating clean – as long as you don’t overcook it the texture and consistency is very similar to pasta, without all that unhealthy wheat and the high carb content. My inspiration for this cooked cabbage recipes was one by the Spruce, which contained oil – but since I am into clean eating, I object to the oil and omit it and don’t miss it one bit!  The oil is quite unnecessary in this recipe – it…

    Homemade Taco Seasoning

Clean eating taco seasoning! This homemade taco seasoning is not just yummy, it offers all the benefits of no artificial ingredients, additives or preservatives!  Salt free too!  Use it to season ground beef, or if you really want to go lean, this homemade taco seasoning is also amazing for ground chicken or turkey.  The cayenne gives it a little bit of a zip – I would classify it as ‘medium’ in terms of hotness. If you prefer your taco seasoning to be ‘mild’, cut down the cayenne.  Make Mexican rice by using it to season cooked rice (brown rice, of course, to keep it clean eating).  Make up a larger…
