Turkey Meatballs with Chutney Sauce

Haven’t tried this yet, but intend to do so shortly. From my cookbook I had since the 80s – Microwaving Poultry and Seafood.

1 lb ground turkey

1/4 c oats or oat flour

1 egg, beaten – or equivalent egg whites

1 tbsp fresh parsley

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/8 tsp pepper

Optional Chutney Chili Sauce

1/2 c chopped onion

1 clove garlic

1.5 tsp chili powder

8 oz tomato puree or tomato sauce

1/2 c chutney

Mix meatball ingredients and shape into balls. Cook either by baking in oven, frying in coconut oil (use least amount of oil possible), or in microwave at 70% for 7 – 13 minutes or cooked through, stirring every 4 minutes.   If making the sauce, saute onion til tender. Mix in other sauce ingredients and heat in microwave. If cooking the meatballs in the microwave, add the sauce to the raw meatballs and toss before cooking the balls.
