Teriyaki Steak Marinade Recipe
Made this today – finally, a teriyaki steak recipe that hits the mark. I created a hybrid recipe from 2 recipes I found that I felt would give me the result I wanted, and BINGO. Success! Its been a long quest for the perfect Teriyaki Steak recipe – the search was inspired by my very fond memories of the Beachcomber restaraunt – what an amazing Teriyaki steak they made! Also the Keg used to make an amazing teriyaki burger with the perfect teriyaki marinade – flavorful, not sticky, not thick. This is what I have been searching for based on those memories, and this is as close as I may come. Makes marinade for 4 steaks or chicken breasts.
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce , or coconut aminos
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Sherry
2 Tablespoons sesame oil
3 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Transfer to zip lock back. Add steaks to bag, place in fridge and marinate minimum 4 hours, turning occasionally.
My own hybrid, based on these two recipes:
